~Committee Card~

I am the one who …

I am the one who brings order to the long nesting of winter.
I am the one who desires the warmth of sun light on your
pale skin and body.
I am the one who rakes the gray and brown dried leaves of
last years autumn off the cold wet earth.
I am the one with hoe in hand, who turns the earth to
prepare for planting.
I am the one who smells the wet earth as I gently place the
tiny seedlings into the garden.
I am the one who watches the ladybugs flutter along side
the butterfly. I sit with the frogs and toads late into the
long summer evenings.
I am the one who longs for order in all things.

What do you have to give me?
What do you want from me?

I am the one who plants the seeds and waters the mind, but
you are the one who must keep up with the growth and pull
the weeds.

Is there anything else you want to tell me?

I want you to go for long walks, alone. Breathe the air of
all the seasons. Plant seeds of thought and ask the
questions – be patient as you listen for the answers.
